Frequently Asked Questions
Can I book a session if I’m not sure what I need?
Absolutely. Many people come simply knowing they feel stuck, heavy, or confused. In our time together, we ask the Holy Spirit what He wants to address first and follow His lead from there.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. Please email or message me on Facebook as soon as you know you need to cancel or reschedule, so that time can be offered to someone else.
How do I schedule and pay for a session?
Please email me at spiritandtruthprayerministry@gmail.com or contact me through Facebook Messenger, and I will get back to you with available dates and times. I accept Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle or cash.
What are your doctrinal beliefs?
I believe in the primary doctrines of the Christian faith as laid out in the Nicene Creed. I am a servant in the Kingdom of God, and I believe each individual has a unique God-given mission to fulfill. I believe the Holy Spirit is active today and desires to expand His Kingdom through love and power.
Is this New Age or Occult?
No. Spirit and Truth Prayer is a Christ-centered, Bible-grounded ministry. All prayer is directed to God the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit. We do not use New Age practices, manifestation, or occult techniques. We rely on Scripture, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
Do I need to be Christian to receive prayer?
It is not necessary to be a practicing Christian or attending church. Anyone wishing to connect with Jesus is welcome to sign up—He will gladly connect with you. Jesus speaks to all that are willing to listen.
What is Inner Healing Prayer?
Inner Healing Prayer is a gentle, Spirit-led time of prayer where we invite Jesus into painful memories, lies, and heart wounds. We listen for His truth, let Him bring comfort and clarity, and partner with the Holy Spirit for deep, lasting transformation.
What Happens during a Prayer Session?
During a session, we begin with brief conversation and prayer, then invite the Holy Spirit to lead. I’ll ask simple questions, and you’ll share what you sense—through your imagination, your inner heart and mind, or what you hear, feel or remember. We bring everything to Jesus together.
If you haven't tried something like this before, it may feel unfamiliar at first, but God is gentle and knows and exactly where you are and what you need.
We end they time by thanking and blessing what God has done and giving you space to reflect. Your prayer minister will take simple notes on what the Holy Spirit highlights, and you're welcome to record the session on your phone. You may also bring a friend or loved one to take notes, or intercede for you.
How long is a typical session?
Most sessions last 1 to 2 hours for the first session (including orientation) and about 90 minutes for follow-up sessions. The length of the session is flexible based on your needs and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The first 15-30 minutes of your initial session are complimentary as we get to know each other and discuss your goals and concerns.
What if God doesn't speak to me?
We were all created by God to hear His voice. God speaks in many ways, and even silence can carry meaning. I will work alongside you to discover how God uniquely speaks to you.
Do I need to prepare anything before my appointment?
You don’t have everything figured out. Simply ask the Holy Spirit to prepare your heart. Take note of any Scriptures the Lord brings to mind. Reflect on any recurring patterns, struggles, or memories that may need healing. Pay attention to any dreams from the week prior that feel significant.
If your meeting is taking place via Zoom, find a quiet, private place with a good internet connection.
Come with a receptive heart, ready to receive. It's okay to feel analytical, skeptical, or unsure—Jesus meets you right where you are.
Is this counseling or therapy?
No. Spirit and Truth Prayer is a Christian prayer ministry, not professional counseling or mental health treatment. Your prayer minister is here to pray with you, listen with you, and help you connect with Jesus. If you need clinical care, working with a licensed counselor or medical professional is beneficial and can be utilized side by side inner healing ministry, and we are happy to refer you to trusted professionals in our area.
